Find Filter Size |
|
Before
purchasing filters, you
must know the filter size required for your lens or camera, usually
found on the lens cap or on the end of the lens itself. Many
times, different lenses require different sized filters. |

Circular Polarizer:
A polarizing filter selects which light rays enter your camera
lens. The PROMASTER Digital Circular Polarizing Filter
allows you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic
surfaces such as water and glass and can be used to increase the
contrast and saturation of blue skies and white clouds.
Colors will become more saturated and appear clearer, with
better contrast, without affecting the overall color balance of
a shot. |
|
UV: The PROMASTER
Digital UV Filter absorbs the ultraviolet rays which often makes
outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. It is a
multi-purpose fine-weather filter for color as well as black and
white films and also serves as a permanent lens protector. |
|
ND 4: In conditions
of extreme light intensity, such as sunshine on snowy mountains
or on the beach, or when using a camcorder, Neutral Density
filters are recommended as essential. Neutral Density filters
are often ignored by photographers, but they have several uses
and offer the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable
results. Neutral Density filters appear grey and reduce the
amount of light reaching the film or imaging sensor, they have
no affect on color balance. The ND4X reduces light transmission
by 2 stops. |
|
ND 8: In conditions
of extreme light intensity, such as sunshine on snowy mountains
or on the beach, or when using a camcorder, Neutral Density
filters are recommended as essential. Neutral Density filters
are often ignored by photographers, but they have several uses
and offer the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable
results. Neutral Density filters appear grey and reduce the
amount of light reaching the film or imaging sensor, they have
no affect on color balance. The ND8X reduces light transmission
by 3 stops. |
|
Protection: The
Digital Protection filter is a crystal clear colorless filter
with advanced anti-reflective coatings designed especially for
use with digital imaging sensors. There is no filter factor and
it’s primary purpose is to protect your valuable lens surfaces
without interfering with the natural light and images
transmitted to your camera. |
|
Soft A: The Digital
Soft A is a lenslet type filter. It is randomly covered with
what looks like small raindrops. Much like real raindrops, these
lenslets act as tiny lenses refocusing the image away from the
film or imaging sensor’s plane and because they don’t cover the
entire filter surface, it produce images that appear sharp and
soft at the same time. There is no effect on color rendition or
exposure factor with the Digital Soft A. |
